My Review
This is the sweetest little book for children. The mom explains to her small child that she can talk to God anywhere, anytime about anything. She encourages her to start the next morning praying to God during the day. As she looks out the window the next morning, she sees flowers, blue sky, clouds, and realizes she can tell God she loves Him, and thank him for making the beautiful things outside her window. As he goes throughout her day, she finds many more things she can pray about. Whether she is thanking God or asking Him to help her.
I love the way the authors explain each thing that children can pray about. That sometimes they can thank God for things, and sometimes they can pray for Him to help them. And the illustrations are beautiful, and help reinforce what the story is telling the child. This is a wonderful way to help children understand what prayer is. I read this book several times to my 2 year old niece, and though I thought the book was a bit old for her, she still loved it, and wanted me to read it over and over. After I finished reading it to her, she sat and looked at the pictures for a while. I think it would better fit 5 to 6 year olds, but younger children understand more than you think!
