His Steadfast Love by Golden Keys Parsons

His Steadfast Love  by Golden Keys Parsons

His Steadfast Love was set during the Civil War times and we read the journey of Amanda Bell and her family as they struggle through the difficult situations they had to go through during the war. While Amanda’s mom is dying she promises her that she will take care of her brother and sisters. She is content with her family until Captain Littlefield comes into the picture and it is then that she starts thinking about her own life and a marriage of her own.

It took me a little while to get into the story, but then I enjoyed it a lot. The characters were believable and the story flowed to where you wanted to read to the end to find out what happens. This book covers a lot of history about the Civil War and a lot of things that took place in surrounding areas of the book’s setting in Texas. The history was well researched and I enjoyed reading the historical events that happened. If you like historical fiction with some romance added to it, you will like this book!

I received this book free from Thomas Nelson publishers as part of their book review bloggers program. All opinions expressed are my own, and I was not required or expected to write a positive review.
