Stranger Things by Erin Healy

Stranger Things

by Erin Healy

Book Description

In the burnt-out hollow, a house of dark secrets and an eerie beauty beckon.

Serena Diaz’s life is imploding. A troubled student has accused the young biology teacher of sexual misconduct, cutting off her promising career just as it was starting to blossom. But that’s just the beginning of Serena’s problems.

When a therapeutic walk in the woods leads her to a ruined house overtaken by criminals, Serena is assaulted and finds herself witness to the senseless murder of the one man who tries to help her.

Hurled into a world of false accusations and hounded by the press, Serena must confront evil itself to unravel the mysterious visions—and terrifying danger—that pursue her. But she can’t ignore the most haunting question: Why would a mysterious stranger give his life to save hers?

The answer, if she can find it, will point the way to her freedom from evil men in a lascivious trade.

My Review

I love suspense thriller, and this is just what Stranger Things is. Though sometimes it was difficult to read some of the scenes in this book because author Erin Healy deals with horrific situations with human trafficking. Serena's life seems to be going well, until she stumbles upon and old abandon house, and learns that her boyfriends is not who she thought he was. As well as finding out about a sex trafficking ring happening right in her community.
There is a lot going on in this book, a lot of twists and turn happening to keep you glued to the pages. You are sure to find Stranger Things difficult to put down once you start reading it. I was amazed at some of the truth the author tells in the author notes, that sex trafficking, also known as human trafficking is the third place in the fastest growing illegal industries in the world, behind drugs and weapons. We definitely need to pray for all of those involved in these horrible situations. I highly recommend this book to everyone, because though this is fiction, it enlightens people of what is going on in the read world today.
I received this book from the publisher Thomas Nelson through their Booksneeze review program to read and review.  I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

  1. Books are Blessing is a blog representing a forum for Christian books. Books available in its library are Bible, children books, devotion, gift books, bid4papers legit and the fictions. It gives a detailed introduction of books through amazing and simply described reviews. Websites about other kind of books should be promoted as well.
