Review   This is a Bible for those who like to garden. The weekly and monthly devotionals were written the gardener in mind. There are special sections about The Garden of Eden, Jesus' Last Supper teaching on the vine, and The Book or Revelations and the urban Gardens. The inside of the Bible has green as the color of the captions and the titles of the devotions, etc. I think anyone who enjoys gardening would enjoy going through this Bible and the series of devotions throughout the Bible. My copy of this Bible is a hard copy, and the dust cover has a neat and pretty picture of flowers, gloves, and other things a gardener would use. And the hard cover front of this Bible has the same neat picture.
This is a very nice Bible. It is different, I've never seen a Bible with a gardener theme. I highly encourage those who enjoy this theme to pick up a copy of this pretty Bible.

My Review

I choose this Bible to review because I know so many people that have gone through the Celebrate Recovery class, and I know how much my friends have been helped because of Rick Warren and his ministry. This is a beautiful Bible inside and out. The cover has a beautiful picture on it, and the fonts and colors make it all very nice. Inside, the words are in a brown color. This is truly a different kind of study Bible. It was put together with those who have taken this class in mind. Among the special things in this NIV Bible as lessons that unpack the eight recovery principles in practical terms, devotional readings, Bible character studies tied to stories from real-life people who have found heal and peace in their own life. And the most important and the one I found most special is the Recovery Stories of people who have found help while attending Rick Warren's Celebrate Recovery classes.

There is so much in this special Bible, and it holds a special place in my heart because of the lives changed by this study. Everyone who has taken this Celebrate Recovery class needs a copy of The Celebrate Recovery Bible. I received this book from Blogging for Books to read and review. From Blogging for Books......I Quit Sugar by Sarah Wilson

I Quit Sugar by Sarah Wilson

A New York Times bestseller, I Quit Sugar is week-by-week guide to quitting sugar to lose weight; boost energy; and improve your looks, mood, and overall health, with 108 sugarfree recipes.
Sarah Wilson thought of herself as a relatively healthy eater. She didn't realize how much sugar was hidden in her diet, or how much it was affecting her well-being. When she learned that her sugar consumption could be the source of a lifetime of mood swings, fluctuating weight, sleep problems, and thyroid disease, she knew she had to make a change.

What started as an experiment to eliminate sugar--both the obvious and the hidden kinds--soon became a way of life, and now Sarah shows you how you can quit sugar too:

* follow a flexible and very doable 8-week plan
* overcome cravings
* make food you're excited to eat with these 108 recipes for detox meals, savory snacks, and sweet treats from Sarah Wilson and contributors including Gwyneth Paltrow, Curtis Stone, Dr. Robert Lustig (The Fat Chance Cookbook), Sarma Melngailis (Raw Food/ Real World), Joe "the Juicer" Cross, and Angela Liddon (Oh She Glows)

I Quit Sugar makes it easy to kick the habit for good, lose weight, and feel better than ever before. When you are nourished with delicious meals and treats, you won't miss the sugar for an instant.

"When I quit sugar I found wellness and the kind of energy and sparkle I had as a kid. I don't believe in diets or in making eating miserable. This plan and the recipes are designed for lasting wellness." -- Sarah Wilson

REVIEW.............I thought this was a rather interesting book to read, so I decided to review it. It is interesting, and if you are serious about eating healthy are losing weight, this is a good way to go. I didn't fully stop eating sugar reading this book, but I did check up on it a lot and I did feel better not eating as much. One thing in this book that I wasn't too fond of is using all of the artificial sweeteners, because I am not convinced that they are all that good for you either, so which is better, eating sugar or eating sweeteners that are artificial? I guess that is something you have to figure out for yourself.
Saying all that, this book does give a good look at what sugar does to your body, gives some good tips and advise about sugar.
