A Heart’s Home By Colleen Coble

A Heart’s Home

By Colleen Coble

Book Description

This Christmas, a tragic loss at Fort Laramie ushers in hope and healing.
When a young mother dies after giving birth at Fort Laramie, Emmie Croftner is shaken by the death of her dear friend-and reminded of the dangers of childbirth. She won't be able to hide her own pregnancy much longer. She's dreading the day that Isaac Liddle, the handsome soldier she adores, discovers her secret.
Then the young infant's father offers a solution: Emmie should marry him so the child can have a family.
With the Sioux Wars threatening soldier and civilian alike, a ready-made family could be the answer to Emmie's prayers for safety. But at what cost to her heart-and Isaac's?

MY REVIEW
I have been reading this series of short books since they came out a few months ago, and have really enjoyed them. Ms. Coble's books are full of interesting drama and I really like her writing. I hate seeing this series end, its been a fun few months looking forward to the next book in the series. The drama continues in this story as Emmie is hiding the fact that she is pregnant with Issac's child, and she is dreading having to tell him the news. But can she trust Isaac to find a solution that will work for all of them? Since the book is so short, I don't want to give any of the plot away, so I will tell you to go and pick the last installment of this great series. You will not be disappointed!

How to Tie a Tie: A Gentleman's Guide to Getting Dressed by Potter Style

How to Tie a Tie: A Gentleman's Guide to Getting Dressed
by Potter Style

Is there enough information about a tie that could fill an entire book? Well I was gently surprised when I read this book. Just going shopping, or seeing the ties men wear tells you that there are oodles of different kinds of ties! But this book takes that a step further. In this book you will find the basics of finding the right tie, the right colors, fabric, design for certain occasions, tying the tie the correct way, and many other interesting things about the perfect tie to wear.

This is a smaller size book, so it can perfectly fit in a pocket, or carrying case, just in case information is needed. But this little book not only tells you all about the ties you wear, it helps with other aspects of being well dressed. You will also find out how to match the perfect cufflinks to the perfect shirt, fold those little pocket squares that look so neat in that right pocket, and many other tips and tricks to make sure you are the best dressed guy you can be to succeed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I hope you will go out and pick up a copy for yourself! You will be pleased with what you find here in How to Tie a Tie.

Reviewer's Guide

Please consider reviewing A Heart's Promise only if you have read the other titles in the A Journey of the Heart series.

Book Description

A rival threatens Emmie's budding romance with Isaac.
At Fort Laramie, soldier Isaac Liddle determines he will court and win Emmie Croftner's hand. Though courting seems improbable for a woman in her condition, Emmie begins to care deeply for Issac and chafes as Jessica Dubois sets her bonnet for him.
When Jessica learns of Emmie's secret pregnancy, she blackmails her. With the Sioux Wars raging outside the safety of Fort Laramie, Emmie knows she cannot lose Isaac. But will he reject her-and her child-if he learns the truth?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Emmie has a secret that she definitely doesn't want Isaac to know about, because she doesn't want to loose him. This makes for a lot of twists and turns in this very short story. This is book 5 in A Journey of the Heart Series. I enjoyed reading the continuation of this story, the characters and setting is already familiar, and the plot is somewhat set. As with all Colleen Coble books, this is a wonderful read and a wonderful series. I enjoyed each book, but I think reading all of these short book at once would be better because you don't have to wait to see what the next few chapters give.
