Simply Jesus
by Joseph M. Stowell
About the Book
Simply Jesus. What would it mean to fix our attention fully on the Person of Christ? To approach Him apart from systems, formulas, religion, and well-meaning Christian culture? To see Jesus Himself? And how would that change us? Moody Bible College President Joseph Stowell ponders these probing questions -- showing through dramatic stories and surprising insights how believers can experience significant life-change as they encounter Christ -- our model of understanding, love, and courage, today. Simply Jesus identifies experiences that can awaken the realization of our basic need to focus on Him ... like temptation, trouble, and surrender. A book intended for both spiritual seekers and Christians who are ready for a fresh, personal encounter with the Savior their heart searches for.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
This book is about Jesus, no one else. The author wants readers to
get a real glimpse of Jesus, and all about Him. When reading this book, I realized
that there is so much that I don’t know about Jesus. And as I kept reading, the
more I thought I knew the more I wanted to know. You just can’t get enough of
Jesus. That is how Paul felt. One passage in this book is Philippians 3:7-11
where Paul talks about how everything is worthless when we think about what
Jesus did for us on the Cross, and how Paul wants to know more about more about
Jesus and what He did for us.
I found that I can pick up this book, go to any page at any time
and read something that will encourage me and help me to see something about
Jesus. I love the title, Simply Jesus, not that Jesus is simple, He is anything
but simple. But we as Christians need to put everything else aside, and simply
get to know Jesus better. And Joseph Stowell’s book is a very helpful tool that
will help us do just that, get to know Jesus more and more. And the more you
read this book, the more you will see things that you didn’t see before. How
amazing is that.
I highly recommend this wonderful book about our wonderful and
precious Jesus. This is a book that every Christian should have. It is a book
that you will never get tired of reading. I encourage you to pick up a copy for
your journey to getting to know Jesus better.
