A Dazzle of Diamonds by Liz Johnson

About The Book

Penelope Hunter loves her job as the event manager at one of Savannah's premier historic venues--until her ex-fiancé walks into her office with his new bride-to-be. Surely she cannot be expected to plan their wedding. To make matters worse, a scheming social matriarch is threatening to take her big-ticket event elsewhere, especially if Penelope insists on being seen with her best friend, Tucker Westbrook.

Since returning from serving two tours in the Middle East, Tucker has built a thriving security company. His work is nearly as stabilizing as his lifelong friendship with Penelope. But when the lone candidate for county sheriff goads him, Tucker loses his cool and ends up on the ballot--and on the receiving end of a smear campaign claiming the Westbrooks were traitors to the South.

To clear his name, Tucker and Penelope must join forces to find the truth behind a lost Civil War treasure. But the more time they spend together, the closer she comes to losing her job--and falling helplessly in love.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

I Love, Love, Love this story! Liz Johnson writes such sweet stories that tug at your heartstrings and this one is sure one of those! I felt so sorry for PJ when her ex shows up where she works with his new bride to be. And they want her to plan their wedding at the venue she works at? It was quite funny though when Tucker kept showing up, just at the right time. Take that, ex-boyfriend!!

I love Penelope and Tucker. Their characters are so down to earth, loveable and realistic. And well, I guess the ex was realistic too because there are people like him in the world. The story was an absolute delight to read. It was fun, enjoyable, and surely a lot of entertainment along the way. I found myself not wanting to put the book down! And for me it ended to quick! I enjoyed and appreciate the weaving of the Christian life into the characters, but it in not way takes away from the story. It is actually just like living your everyday life reading this story. And Ms. Johnson pulls everything together into a wonderful and delightful ending. If you enjoy sweet, fun stories, you are in for a real treat with this one!
