MY REVIEW
The Brighter Stars is mainly about Jake Saunders. After his uncle was brutally murdered, Jake wants to live up to his uncle's name, and being a Legion soldier was the best way to do that. Years later Jake was given the task to help escort Earth’s ambassador to a far away place. Jake and his best friend Cal have been tasked with escorting Cal’s older sister Diane to become Earth’s ambassador. This is a somewhat frightening and intriguing journey that will keep readers on the edge of their seats because of course you want to find out what the next page will say. The characters are well defined and play their parts well.
I listen to the audio version of The Brighter the Stars. I enjoyed the narration by Joel Simler. His voice did the different voices well. If you love audiobooks, and YA Fantasy, this is a great read for you!
