MY REVIEW
Semper Fi Brothers: A Hero's Dangerous Journey for Redemption by A.C. Turner was different than most of the books I review. I found it an intriguing read. A lot of the beginning talked about happenings in the 1940-50 and it was an enjoyable for chapters to hear of things during that time. One interesting thing was the black and white couple, during a time that usually this didn't happen, but it didn't seem a problem, and their son, Shamus was one of my favorite characters in the book. The characters were a mixture of characters good ones and some I didn't connect to at all. Maybe it was just me!
This book is full of information and there is so much going on. Especially with the war and some of the guys had lots of problems after the war as well. There was a lot of humor throughout the book as well, like when Patrick decided to follow William. It has a hoot!
If you enjoy military stories and especially stories about the Marines, you will love this book. It's getting 4 stars from me.
A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.
Sounds like a good read.
